Susan Lucci (Erica, All My Children)After the Daytime Emmys, we heard from a few AMC stars about their plans regarding a move west to keep their tenure on All My Children. Cameron Mathison (Ryan) was very upfront saying he was already looking for a new home in Los Angeles. Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) likewise informed us that she was planning to move west.

Chrishell Strause (Amanda) already intended to head to LA, even before the news of the show's relocation was announced. Prior to word of the move, she had also decided not to renew her contract with AMC which expires in December. But now that the show will be in LA, where she is moving anyway, the possibility does exist that she'd consider remaining with the show.

Adam Mayfield (Scott), Brianne Moncrief (Colby) and Brittany Allen (Marissa) were undecided, as was Susan Lucci (Erica).

A few weeks later we learned that Aiden Turner (Aidan) would not be relocating to Los Angeles. His storyline was coming to an end.

At long last, all of the stars of All My Children have made their decisions (or the decision was made for them) and Soapdom is delighted to report the following:

Some Question

As mentioned above, Chrishell Strause (Amanda) may or may not continue with the show even though she will be moving to Los Angeles. Stay tuned for further word on that.

Alicia Minshew (Kendall) will be taking maternity leave beginning this November. AMC has announced that she will be airing on the show through December. They have not confirmed whether she will be relocating to Los Angeles or not after her maternity leave.

Recurring Characters

Stars like Jill Larson (Opal) and Daniel Kennedy (Peter) will remain on recurring status and will be worked into the show pending storyline criteria and actor availability.

Now for the bad news...

Not Going to Los Angeles

Original cast member, Ray MacDonnell (Dr. Joe) has decided to retire from acting. He will not be moving to Los Angeles. However, the character may make appearances if storyline and his availability coincide.

Beth Ehlers (Taylor)
Aiden Turner (Aidan)
