 on is Walt Willey\, perhaps best known for his almost 25 years playing All
  My Children's &quot\;Jackson Montgomery&quot\;\, as &quot\;Andre Makepeac
 e Ladd III&quot\;.\n \nLocal &quot\;favorite&quot\; Kathleen &quot\;Kat&q
 uot\; Gravatt\, most recently seen in Les Liaisons Dangereuses in Naples\,
  will co-star as &quot\;Melissa Gardner&quot\;.\n \nLove Letters is a Pul
 itzer Prize for Drama nominated play by A. R. Gurney. The play centers on 
 just two characters\, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Their
  stories are beautifully told through the notes\, letters and cards - in w
 hich over nearly 50 years\, they discuss their hopes and ambitions\, dream
 s and disappointments\, victories and defeats - that have passed between t
 hem throughout their separated lives.\n \nIt was first performed in 1988 
 at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven\, Connecticut with Joanna Gleason a
 nd John Rubinstein.\n \nDirected by John Tillinger\, it opened with Kathl
 een Turner and John Rubinstein on March 27\, 1989\, at the off-Broadway Pr
 omenade Theatre\, where it ran for 64 performances. The play was performed
  only on Sunday and Monday evenings and changed its cast weekly. Among tho
 se who appeared in it were Barbara Barrie\,Philip Bosco\, Stephen Collins\
 , Victor Garber\, Julie Harris\, George Grizzard\, Anthony Heald\, George 
 Hearn\, Richard Kiley\, Dana Ivey\, William Hurt\, Marsha Mason\, Christop
 her Reeve\, Holland Taylor\, George Segal\, Christopher Walken\, Joan Van 
 Ark\, Treat Williams\, and Frances Sternhagen.\n \nMr. Willey\, a frequen
 t visitor to Marco Island\, has a long-standing relationship with the Isla
 nd Theater Company. He premiered his one-man show\, Wild Bill! An Evening 
 with James Butler Hickok\, here in March of 2012\, and has served as advis
 or for other productions.\n \nMs. Gravatt holds a Master's Degree in Acti
 ng. She has appeared in many local productions including The Odd Couple\, 
 Macbeth\, Always Patsy Cline\, Steel Magnolias and most recently in Les Li
 ason Dangereuses. This is her first collaboration with the Island Theater 
 Company and she is looking forward to working with Walt Willey.\n \nRose
